Hello all.
I had a chance to share some text messages with South Oak Cliff DE Steven Parker this weekend and wanted to share...
-Parker is down to Texas Tech, Nebraska and Kansas
-he is taking his official visit to Kansas this weekend, then plans to make a decision after that visit
-Parker mentioned that everything is going well with the recruiting process and that he's actually having fun compared to the process/communication during the football season
-the Texas Tech coaches - Paul Randolph, Kerry Cooks, DeAndre Smith and Luke Wells - came to visit Parker at SOC this past week
-Parker described the Tech coaches as cool, he liked how a whole group came up to the school to see him
-the coaches told Parker he could come in and immediately help change the culture, help them create a family environment
-speaking of family, in the last update, we mentioned the coaches spent a significant amount of time with Parker's grandmother...going to her house, taking the family to the stadium and showing them where they would sit for every home game
-accoding to Parker, the coaches have kept the contact going with his grandmother since the visit and initial meeting...the coaches have actually gone to church with Parker's grandmother and his aunt in Lubbock
-so, per Parker, "of course" they (his grandmother and aunt) want him to choose Texas Tech
again, these were just text messages...I don't have a "feel" one way or another, but let me know if you have any questions.
