This is obviously a huge recruiting weekend, with 18 2016 players officially visiting this weekend, according to the pinned official visitor post. 17 Commits & Farrar.
We have 26 commits listed on Rivals, while most will be in this weekend, I wanted to discuss those that won't be here. There are 22 guys who are already enrolled, visited, or coming this weekend:
- The 17 coming this weekend
- Derrick Willies, Daquan Bowman, Jett Duffey, Johnathon Picone already enrolled
- Kevin Moore officially visited previously
That leaves us with with 4 commits that won't be here this weekend, which are who I really want to discuss:
Antoine Cox-Wesley - In an article posted about 3 weeks ago, he said he would be visiting this weekend. He's not listed as coming this weekend, but it seems like he is set to join TTU. Staff, are you still trying to confirm if he's coming this weekend? Or is he coming next weekend?
*Also worth noting, I saw that Cox-Wesley recently received an offer from Houston.
Bryson Denley - He confirmed his intention to come to TTU in articles/tidbits over the past month. But he's not coming in this weekend. Are we expecting him to be a late add to the visitor list for this weekend, or coming next weekend?
Austin Deshay - Things have been very quite on this prospect. Maybe he is just a hard prospect to get ahold of? Any idea what is going on here? From past reports he has/had offers from Kansas, Kansas State, Toledo, and maybe OU. I know he's been mentioned in 2016 recruiting class overviews as still being part of the class, but it feels like something may be going on with him.
Neiman Armstrong - Not much to add on this guy, he's been discussed a lot, and it seems no one really knows if he will be a part of this class or not.
Pretty damn impressive we have been able to hold onto almost all our commits for so long. This weekend should cement all, or most of, the guys visiting. But just wanted to see if there was any news for the four listed above.
