There is a new book out on Jim Hall of Midland. I ordered it from Motorsport Collector in Chicago. After reading it non stop, I have ordered 5 more.
It is amazing . Books is.......Texas Legend, Jim Hall and the Chaparrals. Brian Redman says it was his best drive and he drove for Porsche, Ferrari and BMW to World Chap.
Hall is sick and is dying. There is a big get together for him in Midland and all the famed drivers are coming. I am learning so much from this book I did not know.
He was a big flyer too. Crashed a P 51 on top of a house landing at Love in Dallas when engine stopped on Final. His family was killed in a plane crash in Alaska in British Dove. They did not find them for 3 weeks as I recall. They also found a B 36 our to Ft Worth that crashed and was there for years.
