Your mileage may vary.

Level 0 = me. I did this thing. I directly and personally have intimate knowledge about this thing.
example: "The issue was the mirror on the Hubble space telescope. It was .000001 degree off center. It had to be fixed by doing a 9 hour space walk and buffing that mirror by hand during a meteor storm and alien invasion. I know because I was the astronaut sent into space to polish that mirror."

Level 1 = Not you but someone who should know, and you heard them say something directly first hand.
example: "Kliff just told me that Mahommes is hung like a donkey." Or, "I was at the presser and Kliff said Tech is playing Alabama next year on the moon on Pearl Harbor Day."

Level 2 = A second hand report from a reputable source.
example: "Aaron Dickens just said on Tech Talk that Chris Beard has cloned Tim Duncan and he signed with Tech and has 9 years of eligibility." Or, "I read in the paper today that Kliff has applied for the LSU gig but only if the entire chess team goes with him."

Other levels are your cousin's neighbor's best friend's sister in law.
