Was listening to the most recent Solid Verbal episode and he had a guest on who spoke extensively about the three Supreme Court cases coming down the line regarding athletes as employees.

He basically believes that revenue sharing and athletes as employees is pretty much guaranteed in the next 2-3 years.

His predictions on how this plays out were much more interesting, questions on how do small schools handle this? Places like Tarleton, ACU, and other non P5 schools.
How do employment agreements work?
Are they locked in to several year contacts that would have to be bought out?
Will player salaries and communications now be subject to FOI requests?
Would universities prefer this to the current NIL structure?
Does it make rosters, more or less stable year over year?

Thought it was all pretty interesting and wonder if we have already started to prepare for this outcome. I know the Matador club didn’t happen overnight, and we were well prepared for this new environment. I imagine it will be the same in this scenario as well.

Thoughts?

Edit: Here is the link to the pod if you want to listen.
