Not sure if this has much relevance to anything here, but some may find it of moderate interest. I watched Arlington Lamar's Shane Buchele pitch in a 6-A bi-district playoff game tonight against Midland High School at Security Bank Ballpark in Midland. He gave up 4 runs in 4 innings and was the losing pitcher in a 4-3 loss to the Bulldogs. He moved to shortstop after his stint on the hill was done. Good looking athletic kid, hit a double and showed excellent straight-line speed sliding into second, but in my view was not the best looking player on the field. Maybe my expectations were out of line, and then again I'm no expert. Football and playing QB may be a different matter altogether.
