Serious question -- better in long run for KU to pull out win in 2nd half?

It is going to take something like football Armageddon for the stubborn egotistical AD to make a move now. Any kind of win over an injured wretched KU program will probably give him enough cover to hang on the status quo for another year.

But I can not in any scenario imagine Wells remaining for a third year with a KU win. Monetary support and ticket sales would dry up to nothing if they haven't already. It would be a nuclear winter in the pandemic era. If Hocutt tries to hang with Wells if it's a KU win, he's probably gone.

Big picture, it would be for the best. Having said that, I don't see how even Tech, which has done a good job so far of f--- around, can lose this.
