First Half:

There were 10 possessions in this half. 70% of them were bad to really bad for Tech. Most teams would've been mathematically eliminated after this half because Texas was rolling offensively. But the two sustained drives lead to TDs and kept the defense off the field until they could regroup in the locker room (spoiler alert: they regroup). I was pretty despondent at halftime. Just not in a good place for my mentals or my chickens.

But there were signs of things in this half that would end up winning the game for us -- primarily, our DL winning battles at the line of scrimmage. Sark gave them credit today when a reporter tried to say WVU had a better run defense than Tech.

Our OL was still having problems, but UT's front -- especially the interior guys -- are really tough to block. Ask Alabama...

Second Half & OT:

That's one of the best halves of football we've played in a long time, definitely the most enjoyable to watch. It almost seemed necessary to include every play of Tech's 17-0 scoring run in this recap.
