I mentioned I have flown several contests at Littlefield. Our West Texas group just picked up a nice glider given to us for free. It was in hangar at Littlefield owned by Dr Jim Crisp family. He was run over by accident and the club just died.
We are going to have a nice glider for sale soon and it would be a good start. You can launch sailplanes by car and long rope. Planes are better but you have to start some there. A perfect tow plane is a cessna 150, 172 or 182. You have a Airforce ROTC at Tech. I called them but no call back. We have about 6 teen girls that love this and are doing well..

So I and my friends are happy to help. We have lots of experience. You can get on wings and wheels and look at them. The first single place is a Switzer 1 23 what we have is a 2- 33
