I really wish I knew how Sagarin's ratings are computed. I know his is supposed to be an objective, computer based system, but some stuff just seems counter-intuitive. For example, Texas is ranked 52, they have a 2-4 (fixed for the confusion below) record, are 1-2 against top 10 teams, and 1-4 against top 30 teams, and have the #1 ranked strength of schedule. Meanwhile, Georgia Tech is ranked 46th, are 2-5, they are 0-2 against top 10, 0-3 against top 30, and have the 9th ranked schedule. Arkansas and Louisville are both ranked higher with 2-4 records, and slightly worse in the other categories. I don't really understand how it comes up with that.
