Texas Tech hasn't averaged more yards/carry than opponents three times since 2008: 2011 (Tubs) & 2013 & 2014 (KK).

2 of those seasons were losing seasons and both defenses allowed over 5 yards/carry.

2014 was the only time we averaged 5 yards/carry & as bad as we were on defense teams only averaged .02 more than us.

A QB has been fourth in rushing under KK both years but has never played more than 8 games. I'm sure most of those weren't complete games (Baker 8, Pat 7).

We ran the ball fewer times in KK's second year, Washington had 81 more carries in 2014 than 2013 for 653 more yards at 8 yards/carry. Tech finished 26 in ypc in 2014 with only 8 TDs. That's good for 123rd. No team with at least 5 ypc finished with less than 25 rushing TDs except Tech.

Lastly, Stockton was the second leading rusher with only 396 yards on less than 50 carries. Probably the best back up since Stephens in 2010 & Eric Stephens in 2012. Also, Baron and Shannon but after looking at the stats and thinking about the season, I couldn't tell you who was the backup. Pretty even. Woods and Batch are also the only backs since 2008 to have double digit TDs.

Texas Tech hasn't allowed fewer than 4 ypc or faced fewer than 500 rushing attempts since Ruff with the 2014 defense reaching 600 rushing attempts.
