I have been off RRS since the early Kliff days and renewed my sub after JM was hired. So, this is my first year back on, and I must say I forgot about the gross overreactions of otherwise rational grown a** men. Below is the general tone I've noticed in gameday threads during losses:
Pre-game (beers 1, 2, & 3): Natty Champeenship, baby!
Kickoff (beers #4 & 5): Let's go, Tech!
2nd qtr (beers #6 & 7): I could do better! (insert name) sucks! Bench him!
Halftime (beer 8): We can come back. The coordinators will make adjustments. Joey will deliver an inspirational speech!
3rd qtr (beers 9 & 10): Why haven't we benched (insert name)?! He sucks! Take away his scholarship! Put the freshman in!
4th qtr (beers 11 & 12): FIRE JOEY! FIRE KITTLEY! FIRE DERUYTER! THEY ALL SUCK! THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING!
After game: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
2 hours after game (sober): That sucked. We didn't play well. (insert name) made some mistakes, but he's learning and improving. The coaches made good adjustments, but we couldn't execute. We'll get 'em next year. Time to move onto next week. Let's go, Tech!
