Went to see it last nite. Big Budget film....Fiennes is really a good actor. Had the feel of Roman times. That was cool

Not as good as Charlton Heston as Moses and Yul Brnner ....

The movie incorporated the Shroud of Turin, and most of the audience started laughing at that point, but for the most part I think the audience took this movie as a documentary.
I did like the costumes but the actors like most of these ficks look nothing like the people did back then,
Story is told through the eyes of a Roman Soldier sort of like the Movie The Robe with Richard Burton, but Fiennes is no Burton.
So all in all it has the same sort of feel of the movies I grew up with ...but way more heavy into Believe or this god will burn you in hell feel to it.
It was not the inspiring movie as the Cecil B Demill movies were.
These Jesus flicks are really aimed at the believer cults and not for a general audience like Ben Hur or The Ten Commandments...I did laugh at a lot of the dialogue as it was obviously aimed at the patriot types
