Reviews are coming out and without reading them in full, it is clear it is all over the board. Best I can gather, J.J. stuffed it full of fan service to “course correct” after The Last Jedi. One blurb I saw was funny “The Rise of Skywalker is like telling someone once that you liked potato salad, then that person breaks into your house, ties you to a chair, and stuffs potato salad down your throat for 2 hours.”
I am still excited to see it tomorrow at 6:40, but I am pretty nervous. I am a huge Star Wars fan, but I also was in the camp that The Last Jedi was good. So I will be disappointed if they just retcon everything from that movie.
