Ryland Hauser, the son of Cole Hauser, is headed to Fort Worth to continue his education at TCU, according to his father, Cole. The younger Hauser was recruited as a tight end by Division I schools Mississippi State and Indiana.
Hauser played high school football at Jensen Beach, Fla. According to recruiting service websites, Hauser ranges from 6-4 to 6-5 and 215 to 225 pounds.
Hauser was clocked at 4.65 seconds in the 40-yard dash at Mississippi State over the summer, according to Treasure Coast News. Hauser also received recruiting interest from Texas A&M and Northern Alabama. As of Monday, he’s not listed on recruiting sites that track TCU. The school’s sports information office did not have record of his affiliation with the team.
Hauser’s father is cast as ranch hand Rip Wheeler in Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone. Cole Hauser appeared with Sheridan to sign autographs at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo in February.
