Read almost all of his sports non-fiction books.
His book about Bob Knight and the year he spent following the team in 1985-86 was chronicled in "A Season On The Brink". When it came out Knight was furious because Feinstein didn't sugarcoat anything.....and one time in Lubbock I talked with a parent of one of the players about what his son's experience was and indeed, it was pretty consistent with the character portrayed in the book.
Great golf writer who wrote "A Good Walk Spoiled".
