LUBBOCK, Texas – Lady Raider Basketball announced Tuesday morning that senior guard Larryn Brooks will not return for her final season.
Brooks is set to graduate from Texas Tech in August with a degree in Human Sciences. She plans to transfer after graduation.
“We were very fortunate to have Larryn as a part of this program for the last two seasons. Larryn’s mother is in poor health and has decided to transfer following graduation to be closer to her family,” Head Coach Candi Whitaker said. “We appreciate her dedication to Lady Raider Basketball and wish her and her family the best.”
The Richmond, Ind., native averaged 9.3 points and led the team shooting .892 from the free throw line. She shot a perfect 1.000 from the charity stripe in nine games including four straight to end the season (17-17).
