Red Raider History: 1949 Red Raiders get bowl practice visit

As some of you know, for three years I've been researching Texas Tech athletics for a book about Red Raider sports I've been writing. Here is one of the cool, old photos I've found. Who would interrupt a practice in Jones Stadium for the 1949 Raisin Bowl? Santa is bearing gifts for the football players of apples, oranges and bubble gum.
