I only say potential because it has not been made official by the school, but I don't think we have to worry here. This is getting done.
I messaged some recruits, both going to Tech and guys he recruited to Texas State, about their thoughts on coach Leftwich. Will continue updating as I hear back from more guys.
"I'm fired up about it! I don't know much about him but I do know McGuire will choose the best guy for the job"
"Yes, obviously I wanted him to go to Utah, but he took another opportunity… but he is an amazing coach, he is big in relationships.."
Note: Ficklin was committed to Texas State for about 5 months before flipping to Utah on Monday.
"We’ve built a pretty strong relationship, i believe he’s a great Coach, and a Great offensive Coordinator."
"I love him as a coach really cool dude I enjoyed camping with them in the summer and I love what he does on the offensive side of the ball they score points!!!"
"I got to meet him and he seemed cool. He did good work at Texas State. If Coach McGuire likes him then that’s what matters because I trust him. My relationship at Tech is more with Clay McGuire than anyone so I’m just glad they are getting the people they want."
