Another poster referenced Ray Hayward's radio interview on Thetford & Ashby. I thought I would pass along a few more items discussed besides Kholeton Sanchez and Dylan Dusek being coming back next year.
- Most of all of Tech's freshman pitchers will not be pitching summer league ball due to the innings they have already pitched this year and the fact that Tech's playoff run has eaten into much of the summer league schedule anyways. Instead the pitchers will be on campus and working out and getting stronger.
- Parker Mushinski will be doing summer league since he only pitched 14 innings this year.
- Hayward talked about Patterson and about changing his delivery and then changing it back somewhat. They had to make some changes since his delivery to the plate was too slow.
- Hayward mentioned the Amarillo catcher (Clay Koelzer) making it to campus and how the Tech staff really wasn't sure if he would make it to Tech due to the high potential of him being drafted. He thought Tech's CWS run got Koelzer and other signees excited about being at Tech. Sounds like Koelzer told the pros what $ amount it would take to sign him and it sounds like it scared teams off from drafting him. Hayward said Tech will be in good shape at catcher next year.
