I'm past the Providence game so I say this with the calmest of minds and hearts: Hopefully that was the dumbest I ever see Tech play. I've seen dumb plays and poor stretches of basketball for my entire life, that's a very common thing to see for every team on the planet at every level. But, it's rare to see outright dumb basketball for an entire game. You just don't see that very often. We've seen it, hope to never see it again.

I'm expecting to see a more normal Tech basketball game tonight and anticipating Tech wins this game. At Providence the Raiders were 20 points better than the Friars. Tennessee is probably better than Providence, but I don't know how much better - 10 points? 12? I like Tech in this game.

Raiders are going to be a work in progress for the entire season I think, that's mostly fallout from the way Beard left the program. I'm quite patient with this team because of that. The offense is raggedy at times and the defense is further behind, but both will improve. Notably the Raiders too often have the wrong guys shooting at the wrong time on offense, and on defense there is still some uncertainty with switching and lack of recognition on the weak side. All fixable with time so I am not overly concerned about any of it yet.

My daughter is a Vol but she is all academia and not athletics, so she's all for Texas Tech tonight. :)

Let's goooooo!
