It was a notion on the locked thread that poverty leads to crime. In a way I get that. But...inner city wealth is several fold higher than 1930's America and yet there wasnt a violent crime wave. In the 40s and 50s we had similar racial makeup in most urban areas and yet no violent crime wave?

I think Walter William's and Thomas Sowell are right in saying it is the desolation of the 2 parent family.
