PewDiePie is #1 YouTuber in the world. He has 53 million subscribers and pulls in around $16 million a year. He's basically a comedian / gamer personality.
This thing all kind of started when he posted a video where he sent instructions to Indians on the website called Fivr (a site where you can have people do virtually anything for $5) to hold up a sign "Death to All Jews" and they actually did it and filmed themselves. It was a joke to illustrate how crazy the website and what people would do for $5.
The media looking to expand the white supremacist rhetoric took that joke and ran with it. They even used videos from PewDiePie in which is was mocking the media for taking things out of context (dressed like soldier, watching Hitler speeches) and immediately took it out of context.
Anyway, I'm dead inside.
