With the article that Level Just posted about a semi-pro division of college football being a possibility and others comments on being for Paying-student athletes I am curious as to what your thoughts are on the subject and the pros and cons of switching to paying them.
I personally think the system isn't that flawed the way we have it and major change would lead to more problems and lower quality entertainment.
I would actually like to see student-athletes have to graduate in order to become a professional athlete. I think it would lead to a better and more competitive collegiate and pro sport experience. Over time, probably a decade, teams would have better players, smaller schools would have better teams and the pro athlete would be more developed, which the NBA is lacking.
JMO and curious to your thoughts.
