- Starting lines - For at least the 2nd week in a row, our offensive and defensive lines were the same set of starters. Hilariously, Justin Stockton was given credit for starting on the defensive line in Fehoko's stead. That's a 100 lb difference between the two number 4's.
- First play tendencies - Offensively, we went back to a 20 alignment, with Q White starting at Fullback.
- Adaptive defense - Defense started in nickel, with Awe and Jenkins getting the starts at LB.
- Messy report - Lots of apparent mistakes in this week's participation report. D'vonta Hinton, who plays as our little bowling ball of an upback on kickoffs is now #34 (in order to get on the field with Tyler Scalzi, who wears #35). This has led to a mess of confusion, giving reserve WR Hunter Rittimann credit for seeing the field while Scalzi got none.
- No one new - Aside from the aforementioned mistaken inclusion of Rittimann, no one new got onto the field this week.
- Missing in action - Regular contributors Marcus Smith and Talor Nunez did not see the field this week. Zach Barnes did not see the field for the 2nd week in a row. Surprising considering how many plays the defense faced. Mike Mitchel, generally a special teams fixture, did not see the field this week either.
- Short roster - Only 50 players saw the field for TTU this week, 3 less than an NFL roster carries.
