- Half a roster: Texas Tech only played 37 players in this game, by far the lowest numbers of the year. 65 total players have played in a game for TTU so far this year.
- Getting Started: Welcome Cam Batson and Dakota Allen to the starting lineup.
- Breaking Tendencies: We started in 00 this week as opposed to 20 the previous two. Stuck with 4-3 with the heavier Dakota Allen starting over Kris Williams.
- Freshmen Time: Our 3, non-redshirting freshmen receivers all got in the game. Fehoko and Hinton, the other two freshmen who are playing this year, also got in. 5 playing, 12 redshirting. That's about the numbers you want to see.
- Missing in action: Key contributors Tony Morales and Kris Williams didn't get in the game this week. Nor did Sam Atoe, Zach Barnes, Ja'Deion High, Jalen Barnes, or Thierry Nguema. Not sure if there were injury reasons or matchup reasons for these missing players.
- Fullback Roster: I'm pretty sure most of their plays were on special teams, but Tyler Scalzi and Stanton Keane each saw game action, along with Quinton White.
