Outside Containment

I just finished re-watching the game and have a worry about this. I'm no Def Coordinator but I do understand some basic concepts including the job of a DE that is to not let anyone outside of you.

I won't use names but man, #12 has a serious lack of knowledge on this concept. Anyone else notice him getting sucked in on quite a few plays?
