This past weekend I was riding a 4-wheeler at night on some land. I had rode the same area earlier during the day, and felt comfortable with the layout. Well I was completely wrong.
The last thing I remember was a big drop off, where I apparently hit the other side causing the 4-wheeler to flip a few times and tossed me several feet. I'm pretty sure I was going 20-30 MPH with no helmet or safety gear. The next thing I know someone is picking me up and talking to me, and I'm asking "what the f- happened?".
Amazingly, I escaped this accident with some bruised ribs, sore neck, a slight concussion and a bum right shoulder. No breaks. I've broken my wrist before and I've torn my meniscus a few times, but this was my closest brush with death, paralysis, etc.
I can't stop replaying what I remember over and over and thinking how lucky I am.
What's the worst accident or injury you've ever had? Maybe it's not an accident, but a time you felt you were closest to a severe injury or death?
