OT: Women's World Cup and Tech Alumni Janine Beckie

For those watching the Women's World Cup, we should applaud former Texas Tech soccer player, Janine Beckie. Her Canadian soccer team lost today to Sweden in the round of 16. Janine missed a decisive penalty kick. It was a heart wrenching moment, but not many get the opportunity to say -looking back - they got to take a shot at the World Cup.

Janine had a Canadian father, but was raised in Colorado and played college soccer at Tech.
