After a two hour (plus) standoff with police last night (guns drawn, swat team, drones, and smoke bombs) my neighbor took his life in the backseat of his truck, in his own driveway. We watched from the upstairs of my house off and on. We heard gunshots and eventually the medical examiner removed his body from his truck around 1am. The police had our neighborhood blocked off for over 4 hours. They were staked out along my fence line and in front of my house.
The man leaves behind a wife and teenagers.
I’ve never witnessed death in that capacity. All of this to say… please check on your neighbors around you. If you are struggling please reach out to someone. RRS is a great community. You are not alone.
