I'd like to take a week or two trip to Europe. I have some strategies for air fare: using southwest airline points to get to the Northeast and then finding a cheap airline such as WOW to get to Europe. In a perfect world, I'd like to explore some of Northern Europe (Lithuania, Latvia, Sweden, Norway) as well as England, France, Italy, etc. but traveling that much could prove to be difficult. (or maybe not, I have no idea). So besides flights to/from US and Europe (though i'm open to further suggestion on air travel), what else do I need to know in order to prepare the cheapest and most efficient trip possible. I'm reading up online but would also like suggestions from you guys. I'm okay with exploring parts of the countries that aren't considered "Top Destinations" to avoid hiked up tourist costs. Is it best to fly to Europe and travel by train around Europe? I'm a single dude and flying solo on the trip.

Thanks!
