I was having a conversation with a kid selling me a phone and made a very dated reference to the movie 'Gung Ho'. Kid just blinked at me, understandably. I then tried to explain that it was an old Michael Keaton comedy about Japanese business.
Kid: "Who?"
Me: "Michael Keaton."
Kid: "Never heard of him."
Me: "Batman?"
Kid: "Nope."
Me: "Beetlejuice?"
Kid: "Uh uh."
I couldn't believe that Michael Keaton has already fallen into obscurity and it made me feel like I was 100.
