Sorry for the dear Facebook post, but having a hell of a time finding info and sometimes see some decent advice here.
I separated my shoulder while on vacation. Saw a doctor while there who called it a grade 3 and made the comment he wouldn’t likely operate on it. The pain hasn’t gotten any better so saw a doctor back home who called it a grade 5 and is pushing surgery.
I haven’t found any friends with the same injury and the google machine is pretty inconclusive.
Anyone here had surgery for this? How was recovery? I’m good about rehab, so not worried about that.
On the other hand, anyone else just let this go? Just gone with PT?
For reference, I’m old, but very active. Mainly worried about my golf swing, but also mountain bike and ski quite a bit.
Anyway, appreciate any input. I’m very adverse to surgery but more adverse to not getting back to normal.
