So it seems that his marijuana issues stem from him self medicating for his bi-polar/anxiety disorders.
I have to assume that NU tried every Rx on the shelf to help this guy, but apparently the only thing that he thinks works for him is marijuana.
To go completely hypothetical here: IF Texas were to pass HB 3785 (medical marijuana) and IF Gregory could get enough medical opinion behind him, WOULD the players union file suit against the NFL for denying him medication?
I know the NFL's stance would be you can smoke all the MM you want, you just can't do it in the NFL. Much like hospitals have recently won suits denying cigarette smokers employment.
The counter is that the NFL is such a highly specialized job that there are not any alternatives Gregory can do and still get paid at the same level.
Anyway, just a rambling thought I had while driving to work today.
