Hey all, I know this gets thrown around on occasion, but wanted to get some help on a new TV. Long story short, I know a nonprofit that needs a 55" TV for a really basic use and our TV is 8 years old so I thought instead of them paying $400 for a new 55" TV I'd give them mine and get a 65" or 70" one.
But as you can guess by the fact we still have an 8 year old TV, I'm not looking for the latest and greatest. I want to spend $500-$800 on something that will work for the next 5 years+
So what are the important things to look at? What is the difference between UHD and OLED and does it make a difference once its not on display mode with content specifically tailored to show it off?
I watch networks over the air and most everything else via an Apple TV and different apps.
Thoughts?
