OT: Operation Jade Helm

Anyone read about this? Supposedly it's a military exercise taking place in several states, including Texas. There are reports of Walmarts closing down to be used as command and control centers for the excercise. One of the Walmarts is in Midland. This screams internet hoax to me, but there are reputable news sources reporting on it. Can any of you Midland peeps confirm any of this?
