Looking for advice/reviews on online savings account. Looking to put about 6months expenses in a savings account and not touch it again outside of serious emergency (I work in EPC industry so layoffs are always a threat when projects start winding down). Don't want to put this money in stocks or funds, got other accounts for that. This is emergency money only that I'd prefer to at least get higher than .01% rates most banks are offering.
After doing some research, mydirectsavings.com seems to be the highest rate option with one of the highest APY rates (1.25% currently). Curious if anyone on here uses them, or any other online company, and what your thoughts are on it. Thanks in advance.
