Sorry for the “Facebook” post, but this is pretty cool, IMO.
Scarlett (yes, she is named after Texas Tech) called me earlier today. She attended the “Ringing Over the Rings” ceremony in the Bell Tower. She called me and Heather (my wife, her mom, who is an ARCH graduate) in tears. We asked her what was wrong. And she said “Daddy, I’m getting my ring on Sunday. I’m a Red Raider. Like for real. I’m gonna graduate from this awesome school I have loved my entire life. Daddy, I’m a Red Raider. Thank you.”
So the allergies got to me after that, and I’m kinda losing it myself and yall are the only ones who can truly understand that comment.
