Hey Red Raiders!

I have some friends who need some help for last minute sponsorships. They are seeking donations/sponsorships from individuals and businesses that are willing to donate through the College of Education for a conference in order to make it free for attendees. The donations are the same as donating to TTU with the added bonus of advertisement to a room full of Counselors, Social Workers, School Counselors, and community leaders.

On April 4, 2015, the 2015 Advanced Diversity and Social Justice Course, under the leadership of Dr. Aretha Marbley, Professor and Director of Community Counseling at Texas Tech University, will be hosting the 2015 mini-conference "Bearing our Banners Far and Wide: Advocacy, Social Justice, and the Cultural Dimensions of Poverty." In an effort to provide a meaningful experience for all participants, we are asking organizations like yours to consider becoming a sponsor for this conference. The theme centers on bringing awareness to the multifaceted and overlooked cultural dimensions of poverty internationally, nationally, and locally.

The conference will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Your generous sponsorship would be highlighted in announcements to our members and during the introduction at the event itself. You and any other representatives of your organization would be welcome to attend so that we might personally thank you for your support. As a sponsor, If you would like to set up an advertisement table or provide flyers or business cards for your company you are more then welcome!

The estimated audience is between 125-200 plus participants, each of whom would benefit tremendously from your generosity.

If you have any questions or are willing to consider donating, please contact Cody via email at cody.dickson@ttu.edu.
