Anyone here belong to or know of a good gym (besides 24 Hr Fitness) in the 121/Preston vicinity of Frisco or north Plano?
I've been with 24 Hr Fitness for the last 20 years or so and am getting tired of their equipment always being broken and never being fixed. I use free weights for most of my weight training so it's never really affected me that much, but their cable crossover machine has been broken since before Christmas and I'm getting tired of it (along with the fact that virtually every treadmill or elyptical machine is out of calibration or has something broken).
I travel a lot for work so prefer a national chain that has locations across the country, but mainly am concerned with a place that has a good sized free weight area with plenty of bench press stations, good cardio equipment, is clean, fixes stuff when it breaks, and is open long hours (I prefer to lift before work so usually get there 5:30 am).
I figure I'll look at Lifetime and LA Fitness, but am interested in hearing peoples' opinions.
