I have an almost 6 month old male Brittany Spaniel that I’m looking to send to a trainer to get him squared away on field work. I have done the basic obedience training myself but just don’t have the time or space for full on field work (pointing, retrieving, etc.). He is a very smart, quick learning dog and I think he’s got potential to be a really good gun dog. He has recently begun pointing birds on his own and is not gun shy. I have done some online research for trainers here in Texas and have found a few that look promising, but just wanted to post here to see if anyone has had any firsthand experience with a trainer they’d recommend.
