OT: Freshwater Fishing ponds in Katy

I'm new to Katy. I know zero people over here, looking for a few suggestions on some tried and true lakes over here. I live close to Fry Rd. Tried the Current Church pond on Westheimer Parkway. I got one bite, wasn’t really impressed, lots of hydrila, and not very deep. Thank you.
