So I am channeling my inner Clark W. Griz and booked a trip to pagosa/wolf creek a few months ago to take my family skiing for the first time. We have a place booked the week after Christmas but my wife is starting to get nervous about spending all that money and we can’t go eat at restaurants and have all sorts of restrictions to contend with.

Based on what I can gather there is no food of any kind on the mountain but Pagosa restaurants are still open (for now). Nearby Durango which we had planned to go to for a night is all carry out, no dine in. You have to bring everything with you to eat or drink on the mountain at Wolf Creek. The only thing open is restrooms according to their website. Not the end of the world, but I also do want to spend a shit ton of money on my family’s first skit trip and it be a bust. Anyone else in this same boat? Are there any ski areas that you all know about that aren’t so restricted? I know all of summit county is on code red too. Ugh.

we just looked up red river as a possibility and due to their dictator governor they are not able to open at all right now and it doesn’t sound like they know when they will this season.
