So my mom is currently in the hospital. She had a bad case of strep that formed an abscess on her vocal cord. They did surgery to remove it and she’s on a vent until the swelling goes down. All signs are pointing to everything being okay. But I’m still struggling with worry and fear of what could happen the next few days. She’s been on the vent since late Wednesday. The dr is hoping they’re able to take her off the vent in the morning. But for obvious reasons they aren’t going to rush that. I’m a proud mommas boy and I don’t remember the last time I went this long without getting to talk to her. I miss her! I hate that she’s going thru this! And although I do believe she will be fine, I would really appreciate your prayers tonight!
