Just wanted to start a new thread and let a bunch of S.C. Gynne fans (he wrote Empire of the Summer Moon a perennial favorite here on RRS, in addition to the awesome books - Rebel Yell - bio of Stonewall Jackson [weird dude] and Hymns of the Republic about the last year of the Civil War) know he has a new book out.
His new book - which I had forgot was coming out until I saw it on the shelf at BN - is called His Majesty's Airship - about a Zeppelin bigger than the Hindenburg that also crashed and was actual a bigger loss of life than the Hindenburg. Would not normally be interested in reading about that, but Gynne is such a great writer I'll read any book he puts out.
The book was supposed to come out next Tuesday May 2, but it is already on shelves at least here in Orlando. Just FYI. For those who can wait an Amazon link is below.
