Government has to walk away. There is no "fix" Liberals want a single payer system and we know that will not work. We have 20 million or so that over use HC and put nothing in it.
The GOP is consumed and afraid of a handful of disaster stories that the liberal/press will trot out whatever they do.
Insurance itself has to be in the private sector and allowed to compete and sell products at different levels of coverage. What government can do is tax help like Health Care savings accounts.

Products have to be limited and you can afford what you can afford. Government help can be there for those with certain incomes but we cannot hand out food stamps, housing and HC for years and years and have the rest of us pay for it.
