HOOPS: One more hoops target to remember

Rutgers guard Paul Mulcahy entered the portal last week, and sources tell us Texas Tech has honed in on Mulcahy as a priority.

Right now they have 2 spots remaining, with Washington State transfer Dishon Jackson currently on campus for his OV. Theoretically they’d love to close with Mulcahy and Jackson and be done.

Mulcahy has 1 year of eligibility remaining after playing in 121 games at Rutgers, starting 81 of them.

This past season the 6-foot-7, 213 pound point guard averaged 8.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game. He’s known as an excellent defender and passer, and while he’s not a pure bucket getter he can score over smaller guards to his 6’7” frame. Average shooter from the perimeter.
