Made the trip from Dallas to Lubbock last weekend for WVU and like most of you, I left disappointed and at a loss. Today at 4, I'm mounting up and making the trip again.
There is nothing like a night game at the Jones- and I will be there yelling loud and hoping for the best. I don't expect us to win this game, and we don't have to for me to come away satisfied. I would like to see the defense continue to improve, and more importantly, I want to see the team take a little pride in their manhood and not fold like a lawn chair collectively as we saw last Saturday.
This is likely the best team we will play all year, so I have set my expectations accordingly. However, the team needs our support and the recruits visiting (the Pflugerville DE in particular) need to see the Jones at it's best. This is the best time of the year, and we suffer 8 months out of the year waiting for it to come around....Don't let an UGLY two game skid keep you from coming and being a part of what makes Tech football truly special- a raucous night crowd of West Texans throwing D batteries at the opposition and smearing fecal matter on their bus.
TL;DR: Looking forward to doing something I love. Not expecting a win, but will be there loud and proud anyway. You should come too.
