The sports gurus and talking heads I think but too much emphasis on bowl records of specific conferences. I personally think it is totally the way certain teams matchup in bowl games. Baylor blows out Boise. Miami blow out West Virginia. K State beats A & M and Oke State blows out Colorado. Does big 12 look strong right now or was it strengths and weaknesses of teams that played each other? Kansas State with the running QB matched up well with Aggies inability to stop the run all year. The Miami QB took West Virginia a decent defense apart. Baylor had offensive talent all year but did not play up to expectations. In 2004 a 7-4 Tech beats Cal 10-2 and makes Aaron Rodgers look like a free agent and drops him to 25th player picked from 2nd player picked.
