Good morning y'all. @J. Ramirez & @chaseallen_44 have put together excellent posts already breaking down Baylor, so I would check out those as well.
Gonna be a tough one for Tech, lot of guys are sick and there's the whole Grant McCasland returning to Waco to face his former boss angle on this game.
Let's jump right into the Bears and what makes them go, although it's likely not the same type of Baylor team you've grown accustomed too.
-One of the best offensive teams in the country, holding the No. 4 offensive efficiency in the nation. The No. 1 three-point shooting team in the country at 41.8% on the season but have cooled to 34.1% in Big 12 play.
-Another really strong offensive rebounding team and they get it done from a team perspective, lengthy players that are going to give you fits. Going to be an issue again and hopefully Tech can do a better job than they did against Cincy.
-Baylor takes care of the ball on the offensive side and it starts with Rayj Dennis, who has been a really impressive pick up from Toledo. The anchor of this Baylor offense. Dennis is a quality scorer when he gets going downhill and he is a 40 percent shooter from beyond the arc. Very good distributor as well.
-Ja'Kobe Walter is a likely one and done player for Baylor. Really strong offensively and a solid defender. Good free throw shooter and a pretty good shooter from the field.
-Jalen Bridges is back for what feels like year 8 in Waco, feels like we've seen him there forever. Really taken a step offensively this season, takes care of the ball and is as good of a shooter as he has been in the past few seasons.
-Yves Missi is a really strong big as a freshman, really good on the boards. Solid defender that will block quite a few shots down low. Really efficient underneath but just a 50% free throw shooter.
-Langston Love is a really strong offensive player that comes in off the bench in a combo guard role, a near 50% shooter from beyond the arc. Good shooter from the field and the line.
Going to be a tough one tonight, hopefully Tech is healthy & recovered enough to fight through this one on a relatively quick turnaround.
